The Gulfport Museum of History was established by the Historical Society of Gulfport in the historic Union Station Depot, which is owned by the city of Gulfport. The mission of the Society is to bring together individuals who share a common interest in the unique history of prosperity, destruction, and rebuilding in the Gulfport area.

The GHM digital collection will contain various resources showcasing city history, including the Gulf Coast area known as Mississippi City. The inaugural collection will be that of architect Ralph Bean, who was active locally and regionally during the 1920s and 1930s.
